I have really been enjoying the return of outfit photos on my blog lately, and I hope that you have too. My favourite part is that it’s aimed at finding and styling the trends second-hand, so it’s great for the planet and your bank balance, and I am all about that!
This week I’m styling my ultimate favourite Autumn/Winter trend, the Faux Fur Coat. I’ve worn the very same faux fur coat for the past 6-7 winters, so this year I decided to pick up a new version. Again, like a lot of my second hand pieces, I picked this up on Depop for the very, very affordable price of £8.50. It’s a more neutral colour than my last cheetah-print number, and slightly longer too. I wanted something different so that I could still get wear out of my old one too. It’s my baby, after all.
I styled my coat with the most basic outfit from my capsule wardrobe; my mom jeans, cashmere sweater and flat boots. This has been a go-to outfit for me a lot lately, and for quite some time because it is so comfy and easy to wear, and then depending on what outerwear you put with it, that can change up the look. It’s a great base outfit if you have a stand out coat to wear.
My cashmere sweater is probably one of my proudest second-hand purchases to date becasue it cost me €3 at a flea market. I’m not sure the person selling it realised it was 100% cashmere.

Here is a selection of some lovely faux fur coats on Depop at the moment, if you are interested. If you don’t already use depop to shop second-hand I would highly recommend it. Also, not sponsored. I’m just a depop addict 😉
